Gianluca Cosci was born in 1970 in Sant’Elpidio a Mare (central Italy). In 1994 he completed a BA in painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Bologna.
Between 1999 and 2011 he lived and worked in London where he obtained Master degrees in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design and in Art and Design at the Institute of Education. While in London he taught Fine Art at Kensington and Chelsea College and at Richmond College. In 2011 he moved to Brussels where he currently lives and works.
Gianluca Cosci held one-person exhibitions of his work in institutional spaces and private galleries among which Il Ponte Contemporanea, Roma; The Parlour Project Space, London; Sculpture and Culture Foundation, Kemijarvi, Finland; Curating space, Goldsmiths College, London; Kulturzentrum Wiehiebahnhof, Freiburg i.B., Germany; Galleria Neon, Bologna; Galerie La Serre, Saint-Etienne; The Italian Cultural Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece; Sint-Lukasgalerie Brussels. His work was featured in numerous groups shows including the Galleria Comunale d’Arte Moderna, Bologna; The Italian Cultural Institutes of London and Edinburgh; Robin Gibson Gallery, Sydney; Spazio Viafarini, Milan; Museo d’Arte Moderna, Bozen; Galleria Luciano Inga-Pin, Milan; Frankfurter Kunstverein, Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt am Main; Palazzo Rasponi Murat, Ravenna.
